CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE SELLING INTO THE MANAGED CARE ARENA IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION 

 

 

The Account Manager is Responsible for promoting and selling company product lines that have been assigned in territory. Implements sales activities and is responsible for achieving sales objectives and increasing sales and gross revenue. Sales efforts also include managed care products and services to HMO’s, PPO’s, and Self-Insured Administration Employer Groups. Participates in local, state, and national meetings of patient support groups and/or other groups.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Serves as primary sales contact representing Company to physician’s offices and other territorial referral sources
•   Maintains relationships with case managers from assigned Managed Care Organizations (MCO)
•   Serves as primary sales contact representing Company to physician’s offices and other territorial referral sources
•   Maintains relationships with case managers from assigned Managed Care Organizations (MCO)
•   Develops territory sales forecasts based on completed profile of assigned physician offices
•   Responsible for tracking referrals from physicians
•   Attends and participates in conferences/exhibits for targeted audiences (i.e. case managers, physicians, nurses, etc.)
•   Gather and appropriately reports, in pre-approved manner, specified patient health information to assist as requested with treatment, payment, and health care operations
•   Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and related company policies at all times
•   Case conferences with other representatives of the service branch when this is part of the branch strategy
•   Participates and assists in planning sales meetings


Required Educational Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Pharmacy, Nursing or related field 


Required Experience & Skills:
•  5+ years of demonstrated sales achievement
•  Experience selling into the Managed care arena
